Discussion: Exercise Myth


Emily Yates, Recovery Coach with VERY, will combine her knowledge of athletics and eating disorder recovery to discuss and "bust" a myth about exercise.

Gentle Movement: Yoga/Meditation, Strength, Stretching, and/or Dance


Catherine Kradel of Clarity Fitness will then lead the class through a type of movement related to each session's exercise myth.

About this event

Join Clarity Fitness and VERY to learn more about how you can begin to have a better relationship with movement.

Each class will center on a different exercise myth and type of movement. Emily Yates, Recovery Coach with VERY, will combine her knowledge of athletics and eating disorder recovery to lead the discussion about each myth. Catherine Kradel of Clarity Fitness will then lead the class through a related movement, including yoga/meditation, strength training, stretching, and dance.


May 20: Healing Through Yoga and Meditation

May 27: Healing Through Strength

June 3: Healing Through Stretching

June 10: Healing Through Dance

*Each class will occur at 5:15 - 6:15 pm MT


Ticket prices cover the cost of all 4 sessions.

You will be prompted to select only the first date of the series, but your ticket will cover all 4 parts.


All classes are weight-inclusive and size-inclusive, with various modifications provided to accommodate different needs and abilities. Your level of participation is up to you!

Who is this class for?

This series is for anyone (ages 18+) wanting to learn more about how they can have a better relationship with movement. You are welcome to participate in the discussion and movement as much or as little as you would like.

I'm in recovery from an eating disorder. Can I join?

Yes!! With the expertise of VERY and Clarity Fitness, this class is designed to offer an eating disorder-informed, health-at-every-size approach to movement. If you are in recovery, we strongly encourage you to check in with your treatment team before engaging in any kind of exercise/movement.

Do I need to have my camera on?

No! We encourage you to make yourself as comfortable as possible.

What should I expect?

Each session will begin with introductions of VERY and Clarity; participants are welcome to introduce themselves, too. Emily will then lead a discussion/presentation on a specific myth abut exercise. Catherine will end the session with a movement related to each myth.

How much is the series?

The 4-class series has two different prices. If you attended the free intro class on May 6, the series costs $140 ($35/class). If you did not attend the free intro class, the series costs $180 ($45/class). Please select the appropriate ticket price when you register.
