This series will feature 7 hours of training that includes resources, strategies and methods to incorporating music and movement in classrooms and programs for children 0-8 which promote learning and play in a fun way!

-Understand how to faciliate movement activities with children in various environments

-Explore how to connect music and movement to optimize the domains of development

-Learn how to engage children through music to learn and develop school readiness skills

-Develop a concept of the term MVPA (moderate to vigiorous activity)

-Resources for your classroom practice

Session 2

The Language of Bodies

-Learn the principles of a movement vocabulary that support movement milestones

-Understanding the role of cues to engage children in movement variety

-Develop movement strategies that enhance lanaguage development

-Explore "tell your muscles what to do"

-Understand how to make movement activities inclusive and adaptable for every child

Session 3

Saturday June 3, 2017

9:00-12:00

Feeding the Brain through Movement, Sunshine and Food

-Understand the connection between early brain development and movement opportunities-"the body trains the brain"

-Develop activity strategies that enhance brain development and optimize learning

-Explore nutrition and its role in brain development, moving and learning

-Learn "homemade" props to take back to classrooms and programs

-Explore the concept nature deficit disorder

-Understand methods to take faciliated movement outside
