Why now?
Compounded crises and tragedies have led to profound collective grief. Our world is grieving, our people are grieving, we are grieving. Even as some may prefer to avoid acknowledging the grief that permeates our world, it is undeniably present and demands to be felt, understood, and seen. Traditional mental health approaches often fail to account for the systemic, communal dimensions of our suffering. We deserve to have tools to not only process our grief but to be able to find liberation and justice from it.
By creating a structured space to explore the complex, intersectional facets of collective trauma - from intergenerational impacts to the relationship between grief, shame, and money - this initiative empowers diverse participants to not only mourn and heal, but to build resilience and catalyze positive social change.
In a world marked by so much upheaval and injustice, the need for resources that foster compassion, capacity, and collective liberation has never been greater. This 7-part series is a timely and crucial response to the realities unfolding internally and on the global stage.
What is our commitment,?
Our commitment must be to create spaces that empower each of us to mourn, express rage, cultivate joy, and work towards liberation collectively. This requires moving beyond individualistic approaches and centering the wisdom of impacted communities to address the systemic roots of collective grief. This series embodies these ethos, providing a generative space to process, plan, and reshape the future with compassion, accountability, and a commitment to justice.
What you should expect to walk out with :
- Deeper self-awareness and understanding
- Expanded capacity for grief, rage, and joy
- Connections and community
- Toys for liberation
