About this event

Arts • Dance

Join Bridget as she facilitates a workshop sharing current movement, dance, improvisation, devising, and choreographic practices.

The focus of the workshop will be on ways to create movement scores, material, and scenes from improvisation. This is a core part of Bridget’s own practices that sees her creating across forms, e.g. dance, theatre, writing, and moving image/film.

At the end of this workshop, you will have experienced different individual and group guided improvisation methods, reflective practices that capture what has occurred in an improvisation, and different ways to create movement/performance scores, material, text, and scenes from what emerged throughout the improvisation process.

Who this is for: This workshop is suitable for artists and people with an interest in movement, somatic, theatre, performance, moving image, and choreographic practices. Prior experience in movement, dance, or physical theatre practices is recommended.
