Bio: Tamara Nelson (she/her) is the founder and owner of Mind Body Whole LLC. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degree in mental health counseling from the University of Central Florida (UCF). Tamara is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), and is certified in trauma-informed yoga. Tamara utilizes yoga to help others increase mind-body connection, improve mental health, and enhance overall wellness. She teaches vinyasa-style yoga for all experience levels and offers classes at various locations. She is also available for private event bookings upon request. Tamara is passionate about creating inclusive spaces for Black/African American individuals and other communities of color to engage in yoga.

Class description:

In this class, we will begin with a moment of brief self-reflection, allowing you to set an intention and turn your focus inward. You will be guided through a dynamic Vinyasa yoga sequence, incorporating a series of invigorating postures synchronized with the rhythm of your breath. The class will end with a guided meditation to help lead you to a place of inner peace and tranquility. This class strives to enhance strength and flexibility, alleviate stress, and promote a deeper mind-body connection.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need experience to join a class?

No experience is necessary! We offer beginner-friendly classes, and our instructors guide you every step of the way.

What should I bring?

Please bring a yoga mat, water bottle, and a towel. We provide blocks and straps if needed.

Is parking available at the venue?

Yes, parking is available! There are Lot and Street Parking options. We suggest arriving early to secure your spot.

Where is RTW Creative Space + Studio located?

It is located in Creative Village.

What is the dress code?

Wear comfortable, stretchy clothes you can move in. Bare feet are best for yoga.

Will food and drinks be provided?

Yes! Our vendors will sell food and refreshing drinks throughout the evening. There will be plenty to enjoy while you mingle and soak in the incredible atmosphere.

Can I eat before class?

Try to avoid heavy meals 1–2 hours before class. A light snack is okay if needed.

What if I’m not flexible?

Flexibility is not a requirement—it's a result! Yoga is for every body, and modifications are always offered.

Can kids attend?

Youth-specific classes are available, but regular sessions are designed for ages 16+. Please inquire for family or kids’ yoga options.
