Move Meet Make is a monthly gathering where movement, art, and community collide to create a powerful space for healing, connection, and self-expression.
Curated by multidisciplinary teaching artist and holistic wellness guide Nzingah Oniwosan, this experience offers a soul-nourishing blend of mindful movement, creative practice, and reflective circle discussion.
🌿 Theme: Taking Up Space: Reclaiming Our Bodies & Stories
In this session, you’ll explore how cultural and societal expectations shape body narratives, and how to reclaim your voice and self-worth in the process. You'll also create a symbolic peg doll as an artful reminder of your wholeness and agency.
🧘🏾♀️ WHAT TO EXPECT
- A 60-minute Yogalates flow (mindful blend of yoga + Pilates)
- Guided art-making session using peg dolls
- Group discussion on body image, self-love, and media influence
- Light plant-based snacks + herbal tea
- Connection with an inclusive, supportive community

11:45 AM: Welcome & Grounding
Settle in, connect with the group, and set your intentions.
12:00 PM :Yogalates Flow (60 min)
A body-affirming blend of yoga and Pilates to stretch, strengthen, and reconnect with yourself.
1:00 PM: Art + Conversation: Peg Doll Making (90 min)
Create a symbolic peg doll while we explore body image, self-love, and reclaiming space.
2:30 PM:Closing Circle (30 min)
Share reflections, receive affirmations, and close with a grounding connection.
💡 ABOUT THE HOST
Nzingah Oniwosan is a Haitian-American multidisciplinary artist, 500hr yoga teacher, certified Pilates instructor, and holistic health consultant. With over two decades of teaching and experience building community in art and wellness spaces, she’s passionate about creating environments where you can embody joy, embrace every part of your story, and heal through movement and making.
