About this event

MOSAIC brings cinematic music to the stage in an unforgettable evening of music, movement, and storytelling—a one-night experience where the film score steps out from behind the screen and takes center stage, inviting you to feel the story through music, movement, and storytelling.

Presented by Emersion Music at the Kirk Douglas Theatre (Center Theatre Group) on August 21, 2025 at 7:30pm, this one-night-only performance reimagines the film score as a live, embodied experience—immersive, intimate, and alive.

Original works by Emmy and Grammy-affiliated composers explore identity, resilience, and the power of music to connect across boundaries. Featured composers include curator Emer Kinsella (Concurrence, Saturn), Jeff Toyne (Palm Royale), Genevieve Vincent (Fantasy Island), Shirley Song (Exploding Kittens), Tree Adams (NCIS: Hawai’i), Raashi Kulkarni (Wedding Season) and Lili Haydn (Ginny and Georgia).

Following Emersion Music’s acclaimed concert trilogy on the Culver Steps, MOSAIC marks the beginning of a new era of performances and collaborations. Performed by the Emersion Ensemble, a dynamic string ensemble, and movement artists from Friidom’s Epiic Group, the production continues Emersion Music’s mission to create transformative, interdisciplinary experiences that foster belonging through music and motion.

Funded in part by the City of Culver City and its Cultural Affairs Commission, with support from Sony Pictures Entertainment, BMI, Fine Line Music, First Entertainment Credit Union, The Alliance for Women Film Composers, Culver Arts, SOCAN, Impact24 PR and Orchestral Tools.
