About this event

Health • Mental health

The American Psychiatric Association, in partnership with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC), is proud to present the MOORE Equity in Mental Health Youth Summit. This annual summit creates a safe, inclusive space where youth and caregivers can engage in open conversations about mental wellness.

For Youth

Youth participants will take part in interactive sessions designed to:

  • Build awareness of mental health challenges and opportunities
  • Strengthen advocacy skills for their own well-being
  • Foster peer support and connection
  • Engage directly with mental health professionals

For Parents & Caregivers

New this year, we are introducing a dedicated Parent & Caregiver Track—a vital addition recognizing the important role adults play in youth mental health. Caregiver sessions will focus on:

  • Identifying early signs of mental health needs
  • Supporting emotional development at home
  • Navigating local behavioral health resources and systems

Community Fair

Immediately following the summit, all participants are invited to a free Mental Health Community Fair. Local providers will offer:

  • On-site information and referrals
  • Free health screenings
  • Mental health–centered workshops for the entire community
