Monochromatic Floral Design Workshop
Overview
Learn the artistry behind monochromatic floral design in this hands-on workshop led by The Joyful Florist. Instead of working with contrasting colors, you'll explore how to build depth, texture, and balance using flowers and foliage within a unified color palette.
Throughout the session, you’ll develop practical skills—including prepping stems, selecting materials that complement each other, layering elements for structure, and creating a cohesive final arrangement. With step-by-step guidance, you’ll design a polished monochromatic piece and gain techniques you can apply to floral projects at home.
This class is fully instructional and hands-on from start to finish. After checking in and choosing a beverage (champagne, tea, or coffee), you’ll begin learning the foundational skills used in professional floral design:
- How to properly prep and care for stems
- How to select flowers and greenery for a monochromatic palette
- How to build structure, balance, and flow in an arrangement
- How to create texture and depth without relying on contrasting colors
You’ll work step-by-step with guidance from The Joyful Florist and leave with a completed arrangement in a take-home vase.
We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early to settle in before instruction begins.
