This summer, artists and art students of all levels—including absolute beginners—are invited to drop in and practice figure drawing from a male nude model in a relaxed, uninstructed setting at the Wellington Public Library. Materials provided.
A handout with introductory tips and techniques will be available to help you get started or brush up your skills. The atmosphere is casual and supportive, with chill background music and a friendly vibe where participants can chat, suggest poses or lighting, and encourage one another.
Each session features a series of quick gesture poses (1–2 minutes), followed by longer poses of 5, 10, and 15 minutes. A short break will be taken midway through.
With thanks to Devonshire Drake for supporting local creativity with art supplies.
