About this event

Other

`In our meetings we often talk about ways we can express our grief and things that can help during this time. Some ways of expressing grief and pain is through the use of art, such as journaling, music, and paint or drawing.

By creating art, we are able to externalize our grief and not have to depend solely upon verbalization which allows us to have an alternative way of processing our grief.

What does grief look like? What color is it? What shape is it? Every individual process grief differently and on our own timeline. Just like grief, no painting is ever exactly the same as another. We will have paint, canvases and other related items available for families to use as we talk more about this.

Our support group is for parents, who have experienced a pregnancy or neonatal loss, and their family and friends. Whether your loss was recent or in years past, we are here for you.

We bring a greater understanding of perinatal grief and how it affects lives and relationships. Families come together to discover ways of coping, find courage and hope for the future.

Meetings are held at the Ronald McDonald House (located on the corner of 3rd Street and Central Avenue). For questions regarding dates and times please call 423-778-5149 to speak with our Bereavement Coordinator.

It is FREE to attend this group, but registration is strongly encouraged to ensure we provide proper space for families.
