Experience the wild beauty of the Mojave Road with Base Camp Death Valley on a 3-day, guided overland adventure across desert terrain, river crossings, and remote campsites. This historic 140-mile route offers epic views and iconic stops, perfect for beginners ready to explore with support.

- Start: Mojave Road Mile 0
- End: Afton Road & Hwy 15
- Estimated Total Mileage: ~140 miles
- Trail Rating: Moderate. Beginner drivers welcome (must have a capable 4x4).
- Water Crossings: Expect at least one water crossing (conditions permitting).

🏕️ What You Need to Bring
- High-clearance 4x4 vehicle, full tank of fuel, and basic recovery gear
- All food, beverages, and camping gear for 2 nights of primitive camping
- Trash bags, personal hygiene supplies (pack in/pack out), and plenty of water
- Pets are welcome—must be leashed and well-behaved when outside the vehicle

Includes driver + 1 passenger - Kids under 12: Free (note: every chils must have a ticket, regarless of age)

- Rain or shine – the event runs as scheduled
- No refunds unless rescheduled due to safety concerns (e.g., wildfire, extreme flooding)
- Participants will be required to sign a liability waiver prior to departure (see below)

I acknowledge that participation in the Mohave Trail Run involves potential hazards including but not limited to: rugged terrain, mechanical failure, remote camping, wildlife encounters, inclement weather, and water crossings. I certify that I am voluntarily participating and assume full responsibility for my safety and that of any passengers or pets in my vehicle. I agree to follow the instructions of the trail leader and respect all environmental regulations. I waive all liability and hold harmless Base Camp Death Valley, its organizers, and volunteers from any claims, damages, or loss arising from this event.

Frequently asked questions
You'll need a high-clearance 4x4 vehicle. The route is beginner-friendly but includes some rough terrain and at least one water crossing. No ATVs or motorcycles.
Your fee covers: Guided 3-day trail experience, Event T-shirt (for driver & 1 passenger), Campfire wood (we pack it!), InReach satellite safety support, Group comms via GMRS Channel 18.
This is a primitive, bring-your-own-gear event. Expect remote, no-service camping—no toilets or hookups. You’ll need to pack in your food, water, and camp supplies. We’ll all camp together with nightly fires and lots of stars.
