Project 180's annual luncheon lecture series continues with

"Models for the Future at Work Today: Successful Strategies in Incarceration & Reentry."

Join us for the nation's only annual lecture series devoted to reentry topics. In partnership with The Boxser Diversity Initiative and co-hosted by Robert C. and Pamela Gore Meade, our 2019 season will explore the best international and state practices in incarceration and outstanding local solutions that promote successful reentry.

Friday, May 10, "State Solutions." Project 180 is honored to welcome Ralph M. Diaz, Acting Secretary of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), to discuss the cutting-edge programs featured in the CDCR system. Join us to hear about California prison programs like the Prison University Project, Insight Gardening Program, and Marin Shakespeare at San Quentin and the Compassion Games at California Institute for Women--programs that lead the country in progressive approaches to incarceration and preparation for reentry.

Secretary Ralph Diaz has over 27 years in the field of corrections. He started his career in 1991 as a correctional officer and has been instrumental in developing policies and processes that focus on staff well-being and training, inmate rehabilitation and accountability, and communication with victims and families.
