About this event

The South Asian Student Association is back again this year to showcase a beautiful part of our culture!!! We’re excited to invite you to our Mock Haldi Ceremony!

The Haldi ceremony is a cherished pre-wedding ritual in many South Asian cultures, filled with vibrant colors, fun music, dancing, and playful traditions. During the ceremony, a paste made of turmeric (haldi), sandalwood, and rose water is applied to the bride’s skin. This ritual is believed to purify the body, ward off negativity, and bring a radiant glow before the big day. Our Mock Haldi will capture the spirit of this festive tradition complete with fun games, great vibes, and a celebration of community. Come experience the joy, color, and cultural richness of this unforgettable event!
