Moab UMTRA Site Tour

The Moab Museum will facilitate an Atlas/UMTRA site tour from the UMTRA Project pullout on Potash Rd. Participants will hear from subject experts, including previous Atlas Mill employees and the DOE (department of energy) Environmental Management team, to learn the history and future of this former uranium mill on the banks of the Colorado River. Our experts will include Barbara Michel, DOE Environmental Management (EM) Public Affairs Liaison, speaking to the background, current status, and future of the UMTRA project in her role at DOE. DOE is a partner participant for this event but this is not a DOE event. We'll likely feature one or two more speakers for the event. Stay tuned.

We invite participants to meet at the Museum and carpool out to the UMTRA pulloff. No registrants for the event will not be allowed to park out at the UMTRA site due to federal regulations, so please sign up and register in advance! It's FREE!
