Explore the power of video projection as a storytelling tool in live performance in this dynamic workshop, part of Miami Light Project’s Technical Fellowship Program for emerging Miami-based technicians.

Led by Sean Sullivan, also known as Sean Was Here, this workshop will introduce participants to the world of projection design—covering the basics of projector setup, configuration, and how to craft visual narratives using moving image. Ideal for aspiring technicians and multimedia artists, this session merges the technical with the creative in a hands-on learning environment.Sean Sullivan is a Miami-based creative technologist who blends motion graphics, code, and photography to create immersive digital art. Since 2009, he has specialized in 3D projection mapping installations, with work featured at galleries, festivals, and events around the world. With a lifelong interest in the intersection of art and technology, Sean brings a deep understanding of digital media and performance to his teaching and creative practice.
