MLK Day of Service: Habitat Restoration Project
Overview
MLK Day of Service: Habitat Restoration Event
Join us this Martin Luther King Jr. Day as we honor Dr. King’s legacy through hands-on service that strengthens our local environment. This year’s project focuses on improving wildlife habitat and restoring the health of our natural areas.
What we’ll be doing:
• Removing invasive plants including vines, amur honeysuckle, and devil’s walking stick
• Working together to care for and clear the landscape around last year’s TreeVitalize planting site
• Supporting a healthier habitat for native plants and wildlife
Whether you’re a regular volunteer or brand new to habitat projects, this is a meaningful way to give back, build community, and make a visible impact on the land.
Thank you for helping carry Dr. King’s legacy forward through community action and care for the earth.
