MLK Day 2026 Service Project

MLK Day 2026 Service Project

By HandsOn Twin Cities

Overview

This community event brings together hundreds of community members and leaders to contribute to meaningful change and promote compassion.

MLK Day is a call to action—an opportunity to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy by showing up for our communities and advancing his vision of unity, equity, and shared responsibility through service.

Join hundreds of community members at the Twin Cities’ MLK Day Service Project on Monday, January 19, 2026, from 10:00–11:30 a.m. at the Minneapolis Convention Center for a powerful morning of collective impact.

Hosted by HandsOn Twin Cities, this high-energy community event will bring volunteers together for hands-on service and meaningful engagement. Participants will assemble hygiene kits and snack packs for local nonprofit partners and neighbors in need, while engaging in interactive activations that inspire learning, connection, and continued service long after the day ends.

Volunteers must be 10 years of age or older. A parent, guardian, or chaperone is required for participants under 18.
