MLK Beloved Community Dinner
Overview
Join AL Association for the Arts and partners as we celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. for a free Beloved Community Dinner and Program featuring:
- Social Justice Art Exhibit by JLD Publishing & Myhand Media
- Honoring community champions
- Musical tributes and local artistry celebrating Dr. King’s legacy
- Inspirational keynote with Jessica Fortune Barker, President of AL Association for the Arts, Inc. and Certified Kingian Nonviolence Trainer & Organizer
- "Table Talks"* on how to advance the Beloved Community in 2026 and beyond.
*Table Talks will encourage tables to work on the issue card at their table during dinner. Later in the program, each table will appoint a rep to share their issue and the collective table’s ideas for solution/ resolution towards a more Beloved Community.
