Trace a nutcracker from a template or draw your own on 9x15” paper! To achieve the nutcracker’s shiny, bright paint job, color him with vibrant oil pastels that will resist the misty watercolor background you’ll paint right over him.

Guidance provided in creating the shadows and highlights that make Mr. Nutcracker appear three-dimensional. For a festive touch, add optional snow or metallic gold flecks with a toothbrush loaded with acrylic paint!
