Speaker: Tineke Guerrero Meeuws
Trade Compliance Director, Brooks Sports, Inc.
Tineke Guerro Meeuws is the Trade Compliance Director at Brooks Sports, Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway company specializing in performance running footwear and apparel sold in over 60 countries. With nearly 20 years of experience in global trade compliance, Tineke leads the development and execution of strategic compliance initiatives, with a focus on operational excellence, risk management, training, and continuous improvement. Over the past 15 years in the footwear and apparel industry, she has implemented two Foreign Trade Zones, launched a first sale for export savings program, built a Canada trade compliance function from the ground up, and expanded her team from one to seven professionals. She also led Brooks to Tier 3 certification in the CTPAT program and has successfully maintained that status for over a decade. Prior to her time in apparel, Tineke worked in the heavy-duty trucking and chemical sectors as a trade compliance consultant. Outside of work, she’s a proud mom of two, and enjoys traveling, good food, and staying active in the gym and outdoors.
