In celebration of artist Misa Chhan’s recent Year of the Snake installation in Auntie Kay & Uncle Frank Chin Park, join us for a cyanotype printmaking workshop on The Greenway during Boston Chinatown’s August Moon Festival!

Known for their brilliant blue hues, cyanotypes are a photosensitive printing process that utilizes UV light to transfer images. Chhan utilized this process for their series of aluminum prints in their Year of the Snake installation. Learn the basics of this historic form of printmaking as well as techniques for shifting tones from blue to brown.

All materials will be provided. No previous experience required.
