MiPD Webinar Series #2 Courage, Caring, and Compassion in Social Work
Overview
Welcome to the MiPD Webinar Series #2! Join us for an engaging session on Courage, Caring, and Compassion in Social Work. We became professional caregivers because of our light. The longer we’re in the role, the harder it can be to nurture and protect that light. Our need for compassion grows while the threats accumulate. In our time together, we’ll discuss how factors like your own loss experiences, life stressors, and support
community can affect your light. You’ll be better able to identify what burnout looks like for you and what specifically you can do to address it.
We’ll cover:
• the sneaky ways in which disenfranchised grief finds refuge inside of you,
• the pitfalls that get in the way of thriving in your work, and
• shifting into new ways of protecting your light and transforming how you serve yourself and others
By living from your protected light, you can stay in the work you love and create a haven you’ll relish and people around you will want to replicate.
