The North Star Training Fire Instructor 1 Course gives you the knowledge, skills, and confidence to deliver clear, engaging, and effective training to your crew or classroom. Whether you're teaching new recruits or leading department drills, this course sets the foundation for strong, standards-based instruction.

Hands-on teaching practice, peer interaction, and scenario-based exercises help build real-world confidence and prepare you for immediate use in the field.
Course Schedule
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Sunday: 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Online learning begins mid-February, and must be completed prior to the in-person weekend.
MBFTE Reimbursable Training
This course is fully eligible for MBFTE reimbursement, making it a cost-effective option for departments across Minnesota.
