Miniatures Scenery & Basing Workshop

⏱ Time: 2–3 hours

Cost: $20 per person (goes toward funding my next class, plus my time & materials)

Bring your miniatures to life from the ground up!

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn to craft stunning, realistic bases and scenery using a mix of sculpting materials, texturing methods, and creative tricks. We’ll work with green stuff, epoxy, UV resin, foam, texture rollers, and found objects to make terrain that feels alive. You’ll even rework one painted base to push it to the next level. These techniques can be adapted for snowy wastelands, molten lava fields, swampy bogs, dry cracked deserts, ruined cities, and more.

What We’ll Do

• Build and texture miniature scenery and bases

• Master techniques with:

• Green stuff & other epoxies

• UV resin

• Foam shaping & carving

• Texture rollers

• Found objects & kitbashing elements

• Create advanced surface effects:

• Bullet holes, weathering, water ripples

• Cracks, erosion, and structural distress

• Rework one painted base you bring, using washes, texturing compounds, and added details

• No painting instruction — we focus only on building and texturing
