Mini Mobile Workshop with SELF IMG at enid

Description: Join us for a fun, hands-on Mini Mobile workshop where you’ll turn beads and found objects into your own unique mobile! Led by Karla Gisel of Self.img, this workshop is all about exploring your creativity, experimenting with colors, and shapes transforming materials you wouldn’t normally think to combine.

Date/Time: Saturday, July 26 (12-3:30pm) and Sunday, July 27 (12-3:30pm)

Location: enid (2003. W. Fulton St. Suite 302. Chicago IL 60612)

In this relaxed, interactive workshop, you’ll:

• Learn how to mix beads, buttons, and other random found objects to create a one-of-a-kind mobile.
• Discover tips for tying knots, securing trinkets, and assembling strands for your mobile.
• Have fun bringing your ideas to life in a laid-back, community orrentied environment.
• Learn creative problem solving methods to hang items that do not particularly have holes.

By the end of the workshop,you’ll walk away with your own personalized custom spiral mobile and the inner tools to experiment with mobile making on your own in the future.

What’s Included:

• Spiral mobile base (already hand-forged by Karla's dad)
• Clear fishing line
• A wide selection of beads, seashells, and other trinkets
• A variety of ribbon to choose from
• Snipping tools, drilling tools, etc.

Who should attend:

This workshop is beginner friendly and welcome to anyone who is interested in making their own mobile!

What should I bring?:

While you're not required to bring anything, if you have any objects or beads you'd like to incoporporate in your mobile, we encourage you to bring them along!

How to visit the showroom: When arriving, there are two entrances. Please use the 2nd set of doors from Damen Ave. On the box select the "Contacts" button and find "enid." That will call us and we will buzz you in. Upon entering use the ramp or stair to get to the elevator. enid is located on the third floor.
