MINDFULNESS OF BREATHING
This workshop will explore how mindfulness of breathing is both an incredible tool for present-moment-awareness, as well as a means of developing deep wisdom & peace.
We'll try out a couple different approaches to mindfulness of breathing, discuss best practices, and cover how to work with common challenges (i.e. getting tense, spacing out, unconsciously controlling the breath, the breath disappearing). We'll draw upon the Buddha's formal instructions as well as our direct experience.
We'll also see how the breath is an incredible tool to learn about the mind-body connection, and also invites a deeper ease in our own skin.
The workshop will feature a dynamic blend of lecture, community discussion, and guided meditations. Attendance will be capped at 22 people.
COST:
Offered on the gift economy (aka, on donation).
Please note that offered on donation does not mean "low value" or "only sign up because no payment is required." This event will likely fill up. Please only join if you genuinely intend to come.
If you'd like to learn more about how and why I support myself 99% on community donations, please read this article.
*Note: Eventbrite may now require a minimum $1 donation. Apologies about that — I wish I could set it to $0 minimum!!
