Do I need prior boxing or mindfulness experience?

No experience needed! This event is for all levels and focuses on stress relief and body connection, not technique.

What should I bring?

A yoga mat, water, and comfy clothes for movement. Shoes are not allowed inside Zula Den. Bare feet or socks are welcome during the session.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable, breathable clothes you can move in — think yoga or workout wear.

Who is the facilitator?

Jazel Flores, MSW, ASW is a trauma-informed therapist and somatic healer passionate about BIPOC and LGBTQ+ wellness.

Is this a self-defense class?

No — it’s a non-contact class blending boxing-inspired movement, mindfulness, and somatic practices.

Is the space accessible?

Zula Den is upstairs (no elevator). Floor seating is common, but chairs are available on request. Contact us for needs.

Is this a workout class?

No — it’s a stress-relief session using boxing-inspired movement, mindfulness, and somatic techniques.

Can I arrive late?

We recommend arriving by 5:30 PM. Doors close at 5:45 PM to honor the group space.

Is this a safe space for LGBTQ+ and BIPOC participants?

Yes! This is a body-positive, inclusive event centering community care and belonging.

Are refunds available?

Full refunds are available up to 7 days before the event. After that, tickets are non-refundable. However we know life happens, please contact us if anything comes up.

Is there an age requirement?

There’s no set age limit. We welcome all who can engage respectfully in a mindful, movement-based space.
