During this two- hour open studio-style mindfulness session, teens will be invited to slow down, stitch freely, and connect with their inner world through embroidery. Guided by Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, Rachel, this creative space offers gentle support, simple stitching prompts, and room for personal expression—no experience needed. Whether starting fresh or continuing a project, participants will explore how creativity can support emotional regulation, self-awareness, and calm.

What You’ll Do:You’ll explore beginner embroidery in a relaxed, open format—choosing your own design, working at your pace, and practicing mindful attention. Gentle support and optional prompts will be available throughout.

You’ll Leave With:A personalized embroidery piece, space to reflect and reset, and creative tools to help manage stress and express what words can’t always say.

Creative Arts Therapy Source is a group therapy practice based in Garden City and Levittown, NY, offering compassionate, evidence-based support through the healing power of the arts. Our team of licensed art therapists and dance/movement therapists specializes in helping individuals of all ages navigate challenges such as grief, anxiety, fertility journeys, and life transitions. Our monthly workshops are not a replacement for individual or group therapy, and they are not intended to diagnose or treat mental health conditions. However, they are intentionally designed to be therapeutic—offering creative expression, emotional support, and mindful connection in a safe, nurturing environment.
