Learning Event Summary: It is through self-directed, engaged learning that we realize our potential. As the world changes, so can we, for as long as we live – as long as we learn. Join us to learn how we help children become learners for life and prepare for school, friends and life.

Learning Outcomes:

1 . Learners will understand that the Life Skill of Self-Directed, Engaged Learning relies on Executive Functions.

2 . Learners will identify ways to help children set and work toward their own goals, become increasingly accountable.

3 . Learners will learn strategies for creating a community of learners.

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training. If you have questions or concerns, or need additional information about this process, feel free to contact the Professional Development Training Coordinator at 702-245-8555.

The Children’s Cabinet must follow Nevada Registry training guidelines in issuing credit for our webinar training’s. The Nevada Registry states,  “To receive credit for attending a training, it is imperative that attendees be present at the training for the entire scheduled time frame. If the accumulated time out of class (including late arrivals, extended breaks and early departures) extends beyond 15 minutes total, then no class credit should be granted. (Approval codes are specific to the number of hours approved and cannot be adjusted for partial attendance).” Additionally, so we can account for each participant, all attendees must register and attend under their own name.
