About this event

How wondrous is that breath that roused humanity to life!

Vox Venti, under the direction of Ed Fraizer Davis, presents the final concert of their third season to celebrate the 1,000th anniversary of the invention of modern music staff notation by Guido d’Arezzo in 1025, and thus features music from the 12th century to the present. Featuring works by (in chronological order) Hildegard von Bingen, Guillaume de Machaut, Vicente Lusitano, J.S. Bach, Michael McGlynn, Andrew Balfour, and Kenneth Lampl, plus the first and second prize winners of our annual composition competition, and a new commission from JD Daniel.
