Milkweed Planting with Learning Among the Oaks
Overview
Join us at the Octagon Barn for a day of pollinator gardening! Volunteers of all ages are encouraged to help put over 50 narrowleaf milkweed and other native pollinator plants in the ground at this historical location. Not only will these plants help make the Barn garden look spectacular, they will be an important food source for pollinators and a safe space for migrating Monarchs.
Meet at the Octagon Barn parking lot where staff from our education-focused Learning Among the Oaks program will get you oriented about the day’s project.
Bring your preferred sun protection, water bottle, and gloves. We will provide the rest!
All ages welcome! Please reach out to us with questions, accomodation requests or special needs at LATO@lcslo.org.
Rain will cancel the event.
