Milking Your Favorite Resources with La Maestra Loca
Event Information
Description
Clip Chats and Movie Talks are one of my favorite strategies, but once it is over, I rarely am ever ready to just "move on". There are countless activities and games you can do to milk it for all its worth and get lots more reading and listening out of the compelling clip! In this workshop, participants will experience first hand, many strategies to really stretch out fantastic clips. In the afternoon we will have collaborative work time to create resources to share with the group so we we walk away with plenty to apply to our classes right away! Teachers will walk away with various activities to extend lessons into additional reading and writing activities, competitive games and more! If they're loving the input, don't let it stop! Milk it for all it's worth!
NB: YES, THE PRICES LOOK WEIRD! But when you click "Buy Tickets," you'll see the prices round out.
LUNCH: We will have one hour; across the street is the Blue Sparrow Café and Dan and Whit's General Store. King Arthur Flour, which has a café, is a 5 minute drive. If you would like to pre-order lunch from King Arthur Flour to eat at MCS, please place your order on this page by Thursday, 12 March at noon; you can find the KAF menu here. Bring cash or a check made out to Allison Litten on Saturday, or send her money through PayPal (allison.litten@gmail.com) to pay for lunch; please add a little for tax (which is 9%)!
