About this event

Community • City & Town

The Wrecclesham Conservation Group is organising a very special occasion for our friends and local community to honour and showcase our chairman Dr. Martin Angel's lifetime achievement in moths and his life in general. Martin had started a career in marine biology, taking part in numerous oceanographic surveys, and was for a time Vice President of the British Ecological Society. Since his retirement, Martin has long been a champion of biodiversity and conservation in and surrounding areas of Farnham for many years. He is also actively involved with the biological recording, particularly known as a Mothman, having recorded over 990 species of moths in Farnham alone. At 88, Martin's passionate moth journey continues.
