The New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute will host an in-person, midwifery communications workshop on Tuesday, June 3 from 9 am-12 pm at the Boathouse at Mercer Lake.
This workshop will teach midwives and advocates how to use compelling storytelling and effective messaging to drive policy change for midwifery. Participants will learn how to frame key issues in midwifery that resonate with policymakers and the public, collaborate with fellow attendees to create cohesive messaging strategies, and learn about high-impact writing techniques and social media best practices to effectively reach and engage diverse audiences.
This workshop will empower and equip all attendees to advocate for midwifery policy reform, challenge misinformed narratives, and promote the importance of midwifery in our health care system.
This event is open to the public. Midwives, midwifery students, doulas, community leaders, state policy-makers, regulators, and other health care leaders are encouraged to attend. Breakfast and bagged lunch will be served.
Thank you to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Burke Foundation for their generous support.
