About this event

  • Event lasts 44 minutes
  • UNDER 18 WITH PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN

All the flooding projected to happen in Portland during this Spring's high-water season will occur in the nighttime. In efforts to capture this critical data and bring awareness to these increasingly common climate hazards, in one night we will travel to several flood-prone sites throughout the city, complete a data collection protocol at each location, and install and photograph artwork by local artists near the floodwaters.

Join us to contribute to a scientific flood monitoring effort, witness art being made, take some of your own photos of cool art in a unique setting, and learn about how sea level rise is impacting Portland.

Meet us at the Gulf of Maine Research Institute at 11:15PM where we'll embark on our journey. The event is scheduled to go until 12:45AM.

There is no rain date for this event.
