Microplex presents its inaugural show of Peanut Gallery at the Lyric Hyperion! Your hosts Matt Catanzano & Alyssa Sabo have selected Scream (1996) for spooky season and a film extravaganza. The night will invite the audience to submit their live commentary along with the hosts — bring your phone or smart communication device.

MATT CATANZANO

Matt is a movie-obsessed indoor kid who also happens to be a comedian, writer, director known for his award-winning scripts and horror shorts. His short film SPIRITS just finished the festival circuit with wins including Best Film, Best Score, and multiple Audience Awards. He is the creator of the live comedy show THE LAST VIDEO STORE in Los Angeles. His production company "The Happy Ghost Productions" creates fun-sized horror comedies and produces THE best Halloween show in town (10/17/25!). His sketch comedy can be found on Simply Unemployable, Above Average Productions, and Comedy Central Originals where his aptly named sketch “Sex in a Haunted House” just crossed 100 million views (@MattCatanzano, @LastVideoStoreComedy)

ALYSSA SABO

Alyssa Sabo is a comedian, writer, and actress who performs all around Los Angeles. When she's not crushing it in commercials (hello, JetBlue preflight entertainment!), she's performing in Maude Night at UCB, The Garage Show, and The Last Video Store. She has been on so many game shows that she actually lost track. Check her out on STARZ mini series “Gaslit” or on Tik Tok where she reads her old Christian teen journals. And get ready for her newest short film, BLADEZ, currently in post-production and out this fall.
