What is the schedule of this training?

We will meet from 10:00am to 1:00pm PT on September 9-13 with a 10-minute break at 11am and noon each day. Please plan to attend all 5 sessions for the full length of each session as each day will be building on material covered the previous day.

Who is this training for?

This training is for microlenders. This includes staff or board members of organizations that provide micro loans to small and micro businesses. We prioritize CAMEO members during early bird registration. Non-CAMEO microlenders are also encouraged to register if spots are still available.

What is the level of this training?

Accepted Answer

This training is designed for individuals who are at a beginner / intermediate level with less than a few years knowledge and expertise specifically in underwriting. For those who are more advanced at underwriting, you are still welcomed to join us, however this will be more of a refresher for you.

Question 4

How will we meet?

We will meet using Zoom. You will receive a calendar invitation with the Zoom link to join the class.  The class is interactive with lectures, small-group discussions, examples, exercises, and case studies. You will need to join the class on a device that has a camera.

How will I receive the class materials?

CAMEO has an online learning center called CAMEO Academy where the materials for the class will be housed. When you register, you will create an account and get access to the course.

Is there homework?

The is no homework. Topics will be covered in all the material and the case study write-ups during class time. You may, however, want to review materials between classes. There will be some review video lectures available for you to watch in the online learning center as well.

How many people will be in the class?

We will cap our class at 30 people to maximize learning and group interaction. This training typically sells out quickly and we keep a waitlist for future classes. We usually offer this training at least twice each year.

Is this training only for nonprofits?

Accepted Answer

The MILES course is definitely geared toward mission-driven organizations, but for-profit lenders are welcome to register at a special price. Please email academy@cameonetwork.org to learn more.
