Join California College of the Arts (CCA) MFA Design for their virtual program information session to learn more about the curriculum, and general scope of the program. Chair Jon Sueda will present an overview of all aspects of the program, the college, and the focus of the work happening at CCA. There will also be an opportunity for Q&A.

CCA's MFA Design is a two/three-year program, depending on experience. Students apply for one of three disciplines: Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, but the program is interdisciplinary. The MFA Design program is designed to build community and connections that graduates will have for the rest of their careers.

Jon Sueda, Co-Chair of the MFA Design program, has practiced design everywhere from Honolulu to Holland. After earning his MFA in Graphic Design from CalArts in 2002, he was invited to North Carolina State University to serve as a designer in residence, followed by an internship in the Netherlands with Studio Dumbar. In 2004, Sueda founded the design studio Stripe, which specializes in print and exhibition design for art and culture. He is also the co-editor of Task Newsletter, and the co-organizer of AtRandom events. In 2007, Sueda relocated to the San Francisco area where he served as Director of Design at the CCA Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts for seven years.
