What is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM)?

DVAM takes place each October, connecting advocacy organizations and communities across the nation. Victims, survivors, advocates, and leaders unite in solidarity to end domestic violence. Through collaboration and shared stories, we raise support and awareness of this critical issue.

Children are welcome to attend. However, please note that this event will cover sensitive topics that may include graphic details of violence and sexual assault.  We encourage parents/guardians to use their judgment about whether the content is appropriate for their child's age and maturity level.

What resources and support will be available?

At our event each year, 30+ non-profit agencies from around the valley provide attendees with information and resources to help survivors, their children and pets escape abuse.  DV Advocates will be available on site to answer questions and connect survivors with ongoing support.
