Join us for an **online** event where we will delve into the importance of mental health awareness, cultural diversity, and active shooting training. Ret. LAPD Captain Ann Young, M.A., and Forensic and Organizational Leadership Psychologist Debra Warner, Ph.D., Psy.D. will help you gain valuable insights to help you navigate these critical topics.
This course examines active shooters and the psychology behind the behavior. It focuses on two perspectives: law enforcement and psychology. Communication techniques, as well as the understanding point of view of the perpetrators and survivors. Diversity and cultural differences are examined pertaining to the country of origin. Participants will gain an understanding of crisis planning with real-life scenarios once a week through online, real-time instruction.
The course begins 11.7.25 with 4 hours of online instructor interaction on 11.7 and 11.21.25. Please note that this course provides 8 CE credits. To receive full credit, real-time attendance on both dates for all hours is required. As per APA, partial credit is not available. No exceptions or refunds will be granted for missed class time.
