Mending the Rift
Overview
Mending the Rift
Jesus' last prayer before going to the cross was that we as the body be one as He and the Father are one. His reason? "so that the world may believe that you have sent me."
Many churches operate as if they do enough miracles, feed enough homeless, change enough laws, do enough mission trips, or even have enough lobby upgrades and fast wifi and professional lights and sound to make the worship hit just right, the world will suddenly see that Jesus is LORD. And while all of those things are great, Jesus knew that there is something EVEN MORE powerful than all of those things combined, the most impossible miracle of all - His followers from different backgrounds choosing to love one another and becoming the family that prodigals can come home to.
This ministry event will start with worship, followed by a panel discussion amongst faith leaders that lean left, right, and in between, examining the topics that divide the body of Christ using the Bible as a guide, and responding to questions from the audience. The purpose of this event is to facilitate respectful, safe, and courageous fellowship in an atmosphere of surrender to the Holy Spirit amongst people who think differently, who desire to pursue peace through and elevate Jesus above everything, and see Jesus get what He prayed for and paid for.
See you there! Doors open at 6pm. Come early to mingle! The event starts promptly at 6:30pm.
