What is the Mendful training?

The online and in-person Mendful trainings teach the core skills needed by Mendful Conflict Resolution Coaches to work on the Mendful app. These skills can also help anyone become more skillful in handling conflict in their own work or personal life.

What approach does the Mendful training use?

Mendful uses a somatic (body-based) foundation for resolving conflict within ourselves and with others. It blends nervous system regulation, deep listening, and compassionate presence to transform conflict into connection. It also uses Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and other approaches to dialogue.

Who are these workshops for?

Anyone who interacts with humans, in any context that does not compete with Mendful. This includes spouses, parents, therapists, social workers, activists, health professionals, customer service providers — and anyone seeking tools for calmer, clearer, more connected relationships.

How are the workshops structured?

Each hour-long workshop includes concept/demo, small-group practice, group harvest, and Q&A. You’ll leave with tools and concepts you can apply  in daily life and work. Note: As its title suggests, the Concepts, Models, & Philosophies workshop is more didactic, less hands-on.

Do I need to take the whole series?

No; you can drop in for individual modules or enroll in the full series. Each 1-hr session covers a distinct skill, while the series builds a fuller toolkit and can prepare you for certification.

How do I become certified?

Completing the core training can lead to certification as a Mendful Conflict Resolution Coach (CRC), enabling you to work on the Mendful app. Certification is a collaborative process with peer and leader approval.

Can I use my certification for something other than Mendful?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as long as it doesn't compete directly with Mendful. This would include being a therapist, court -appointed mediator, teacher, HR professional, and so on. The only thing that would directly compete with Mendful would be another app that provides on-demand conflict resolution.

What's the connection of this training to the Mendful app?

Mendful is developing an app to connect users with certified CRCs for on-demand conflict resolution. These online workshops a learning path toward becoming a Mendful CRC. You can also help shape the app through feedback as a beta tester.

Why do you also offer an in-person training in 2026? Is it necessary to get certified?

Not strictly. But unless you already have strong relevant skills, we recommend attending in person, or via Zoom with local practice buddies, so you can fully engage in the somatic, body-based exercises essential to Mendful. The in-person training will also be a great opportunity to build community.

How do I start the path to certification?

A good way is to begin with these1-hr online workshops. Each session builds core competencies in self-presence, empathy, and repair. You can then enter the Accelerated Immersion for intensive practice.

What does certification entail?

Certification is collaborative, and designed to set you up for success. You, 3–5 peers, and the lead trainer all need to agree that you’re ready, through a series of test sessions with feedback . This ensures you feel confident and supported before working with others through Mendful.

What does certification allow me to do?

Certified Mendful Conflict Resolution Coaches (CRCs) can work as practitioners through the Mendful app. You can also use your skills in any other non-competing personal or professional setting.

Does the online series include everything in the in-person training?

No. We'll be going deeper and getting into more detail in the in-person training. But the online series gives you a good overview of some of the key skills and perspectives.

How much money can I make as a Mendful Conflict Resolution Coach?

Our intention is for MCRCs to be able to earn a healthy six-figures working 35 hours per week or less. We're still crunching numbers to see how we can deliver on that.

How can I make even more money on the Mendful platform?

We're glad you asked! Mendful encourages MCRCs to develop their own niche and platform within the app, which will in turn attract that audience. We plan to eventually support group events as well, which would yield a higher hourly return.
