Melanin In Motion Nordic Opener 12/13/25. Make this YOUR BEST WINTER EVER!

It's Winter Baby! Meet at the Minnesota Nordic Ski Opener! Join the Melanin In Motion Coaches and community as we kick off the Season at the Nordic Opener (like the fishing opener - get it?) in partnership with Three Rivers Park District. We will be there from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm with gear, instruction, and smiles. We will get our ski legs on "man-made" snow courtesy of Three Rivers and the amazing crew at Elm Creek. If you need lessons or any coaching support please plan to arrive to be in a program at 9:30, 11:00, 12:30, and 2:00 pm. Team MIM, Three Rivers, and other BIPOC-led organizations will support you in embracing winter by celebrating cross-country skiing. Skiers of all abilities and ages are invited to kick off winter with free skiing, free ski rental equipment, and free mini-lessons. Participate in the Ski Tour with routes for the whole family, and check out the Nordic Market with representatives from 50 Nordic ski suppliers, resorts, retailers, and clubs. Warm up in the chalet and grab a warm beverage or meal.
