COMMUNITY WITH A PURPOSE - All Proceeds Benefit the Wilson Family
On November 27, 2024, at just 53 years old, Chris Wilson, a beloved father, husband, and friend to many, passed away from a massive heart attack. Chris was more than a neighbor — he was family to many of us. A local business owner and a well-known figure in the Meggett community, he was always ready to lend a hand, answer a call, or offer support. He truly embodied the spirit of Meggett: loyal, generous, and full of heart.
Chris leaves behind his wife, Jill, who would have celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary this year; his daughter Ellie (7), who was diagnosed in 2018 with Aicardi-Goutières Syndrome (AGS) — a rare genetic disorder and type of leukodystrophy; and his son Colt (3), who absolutely adored his daddy and the precious time they shared together.
Now, with Jill as the sole provider, Ellie’s significant physical challenges requiring intensive therapies, specialized equipment, and regular visits to the Leukodystrophy Center at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) for ongoing care and monitoring, and with Colt still so young after losing his father, this family needs their community’s support more than ever.
Join us in honoring Chris’s memory and supporting the Wilson family the way he always supported others. We’re hosting a trout fishing tournament, with all proceeds going directly to help Jill continue providing Ellie and Colt with the care and opportunities they need to thrive and grow.
