Meg Bortin is an American journalist and writer based in France. Her articles on politics, culture and lifestyle have appeared in many publications. In 1992 Bortin was the founding editor of The Moscow Times, the first independent English-language daily newspaper in Russia. She later spent an amusing year as Paris correspondent for The Hollywood Reporter. Before leaving the Trib, she created the international edition of T: The New York Times Style Magazine. She and her daughter divide their time between Paris and Burgundy, where they have a garden.
