DownToDash and NY Tech Tank present a night of learning and networking from an amazing panel of Female Founders (men are welcome to attend the event too).
Speakers:
1. Jasmine Shells - Co-Founder & CEO of Five to Nine
Jasmine is the Co-Founder & CEO of Five to Nine, a VC-backed event management startup for companies. Five to Nine’s platform helps organizers manage and evaluate their company events – both virtual and in-person. Five to Nine has raised $1.2M and has been invested in by the CEO of LinkedIn and Morgan Stanley.
Jasmine was recently named Forbes’ 30 Under 30 for enterprise technology and she’s a US Department of State Fellow. Jasmine graduated from the University of Notre Dame and is currently pursuing her MBA at the University of Chicago as an Entrepreneurial Scholar.
In her spare time, Jasmine serves on Notre Dame’s Alumni Board, teaches entrepreneurship, and always finds time to salsa. She’s been featured in Vice, Forbes, Business Insider, TEDx, Black Enterprise, Yahoo Finance, and Marketwatch.
2. Gabriela Trueba - Founder & CEO Womp
Gabriela Trueba is an 3x entrepreneur in the 3D/AR space. A recent graduate of Techstars, Trueba and her team have built a revolutionary 3D engine and has raised $800k to date. Trueba founded Womp in late 2016 to bridge the gap between engineering, design, manufacturing and media in the 3D industry.
3. Martha Montoya - CEO and Founder of Agtools Inc.
Microsoft Innovation Challenge Award winner Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
With over 25 years of worldwide agricultural and supply chain experience appointed to the California Board of Agriculture and Food, board member of the National Latino Food Industry, she has served on the advisory worldwide board of Women for Walmart and more.
A child to educators and owners of a school and universities in Bogota for working and rural families, Martha began her professional career as a teacher of Chemistry, Biology and English in her native Colombia. Besides Martha’s formal education in Colombia she has done post graduate courses at University of Chicago, Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, Stanford Entrepreneurial on Scalability and UC Davis Food, Ag & Health Entrepreneurship.
Martha Montoya is at the forefront of the dialogue regarding diversity contracting with corporate America, particularly in the media and agricultural industries. She leads several national initiatives to advance the position of Minority owned businesses. Through her work, Martha has forged relationships with Corporate, State and Federal leaders in United States and countries overseas to understand and bring to the table candid conversations to find solutions for the small and minority business advancement.
4. Rachna Hukmani - Founder and CEO Whiskey Stories LLC
Rachna Hukmani is the first South Asian woman to open a whiskey company. She is a whiskey expert, has been working with whiskey for more 11+ years, had helped design legendary whiskies like The Macallan 12 Double Cask, The Macallan Luxury Editions, Highland Park Magnus, Noble Oak Bourbon and more. She runs her business Whiskey Stories LLC full time.
