Meet In The Field - Silence and Singing Event

A peace movement called Meet in the Field, encouraging people to stop in silence and stillness each day at 11am. To remember our connectedness, to hope for peace, to remember those affected by violence and to make a quiet commitment to a future of nonviolence.

By the Knife Angel is to gather people, first to sing a shared song of peace called Gather in Hope, written by a local song sharer. This is a simple song that can be taught on the spot and sounds beautiful and is very moving when people sing the different parts together. The lyrics are below.

We gather in hope, love, trust, courage

And we’re sending out this wave of energy

We are gathering, we are calling for peace

Then we will sit/stand in silence together for 30 minutes, remembering all those affected by knife violence and hoping for peace followed by poetry afterwards.
