Frequently asked questions

How is the workshop structured?

The 60-minute workshop starts with a simple guided meditation, followed by a series of Meditative Drawing exercises designed to help you relax, get absorbed in the practice, and explore the basics of the technique.

I don't know how to draw, can I still sign up?

Absolutely. Meditative Drawing places the attention on the process and not the result. This technique will allow you to experience the joy of drawing regardless of your skill level. And who knows, you may discover that you CAN draw.

I'm not the "meditator" type ; is this for me?

Yes! Even if you don’t consider yourself a meditator, I encourage you to try Meditative Drawing. The focused, calm state you enter during this practice is much like traditional meditation. We could all use a little more mindfulness—and a little less anxiety—no matter our “type.”

Do I need to bring anything?

Nope! All materials will be provided—just bring yourself! Feel free to arrive a few minutes early to settle in and enjoy some light treats before we begin.. If you'd like, you’re welcome to bring your own journal or sketchbook, but it’s totally optional.
