About this event

Ready for an Exciting Adventure with the Girl Scouts?

Join us for the Girl Scouts Starter Troop Series—a fun and interactive four-meeting experience designed for youth in grades K–5 who are new to Girl Scouts, along with their caring adults.

Throughout this series, youth will participate in engaging activities based on the four pillars of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience:

  • 🔬 STEM – Explore science, technology, engineering, and math through hands-on challenges
  • 🌿 Outdoors – Connect with nature and build confidence in the great outdoors
  • 💡 Entrepreneurship – Learn goal setting, money management, and creative thinking
  • 💚 Life Skills – Practice everyday skills like teamwork, communication, and self-care

While the youth are learning and having fun, adults will also participate, gaining the tools, guidance, and confidence to become troop leaders or volunteers. This series is a great way to see what Girl Scouts is all about—and how your family can be part of it!

🌟 What to Expect:

  • 4 meetings packed with fun and learning
  • A supportive, family-friendly environment
  • Opportunities to earn Girl Scout badges
  • Step-by-step guidance for adults on starting or joining a troop
  • Connection with local Girl Scout staff and other families

Join us for all four meetings, or attend what you can. If you have questions or want to learn more but can't join us contact Steph Metteauer at SMetteauer@gsnorcal.org or (707) 296-2991
